Five poeple have been found in a house unconscious in a village near Salisbury.

A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a property in Wick Lane, Downton at 9.51am after five people were found unconscious inside the house.

“Fire crews are currently in attendance from Salisbury (two), Fordingbridge and Wilton, with further crews from Ringwood and Amesbury en route, and firefighters in breathing apparatus are assisting ambulance colleagues with bringing the casualties outside.

“We are also working with an ambulance and police to establish what has happened.”

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We were called by the ambulance service to an address in Downton shortly before 9.50am this morning following concerns for the welfare of five individuals inside the premises. Fire and ambulance are currently in attendance.

“Fire are currently leading on this and we are supporting at this stage.”
