A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for Southern England including Salisbury and Villages.
Temperatures are believed to drop below 1°C. Ice is expected to form on surfaces from tonight until Tuesday morning, this may affect traffic tomorrow.
The weather should turn back to normal on Wednesday says the Met Office.
The Met Office announced the following statement;
“Heavy rain will arrive from the west this evening with some hill snow, mainly over the Moors. It will clear eastwards overnight followed by wintry showers and a widespread risk of ice. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
“Blustery showers will continue, with hail, sleet and the risk of snow, mainly over higher ground. There will be some brightness, but it will feel cold. Maximum temperature 7 °C.”
