Police are seeking witnesses of an incident after a 40-year-old man was robbed in a day-light robbery.

At approximately 12.20pm to 12.30pm on 17 August, a 40-year-old man was walking in Bedwin Street at the corner of Endless Street, when he was approached by a man who hit him round the head with an unknown object.

This caused a gash to his head, which was dealt with by paramedics at the scene.

The offender then stole a small amount of cash from the victim and made off from the scene, believed to be in the direction of Salt Lane. It is believed the victim and offender are known to each other.
